Having started out as a potter, Jonathan Adler now oversees a complete lifestyle brand, with nearly 30 eponymous stores worldwide selling everything from beds to lighting. For Beyond, the designer and author salutes his favorite men’s outfitter in his hometown, New York. This summer, he’s planning a trip to Capri with his husband Simon Doonan, creative ambassador-at-large of Barneys. “I’m not a religious person,” Jonathan says, “but I’m pretty sure heaven is just like Capri.”
